SURIGAO CITY — Authorities arrested a known local vlogger identified online as “Mamyrich” after serving a warrant of arrest for an alleged violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, or Republic Act 10175, in Barangay Lipata, Surigao City, on Tuesday afternoon, August 11, 2026.
Arrested was Antonio Mosnit Lagrama Jr., also identified in police records as “Mamyrich,” a 52-year-old single vlogger and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Lipata, Surigao City.
The arrest was carried out at around 1:00 p.m. by joint personnel of the Surigao City Component Police Station (SCCPS), which served as the lead unit, and the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 13 (RACU 13).
Police said the operation was conducted to implement a warrant of arrest issued against Lagrama in connection with Criminal Case No. 2026-0776, involving an alleged violation of Section 4(C)(4) of Republic Act 10175, the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The warrant was issued on August 10, 2026, by Judge Isah J. Echem-Tangonan, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court of the 10th Judicial Region, Branch 33, in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.
According to authorities, the complaint was filed by a construction firm based in Butuan City. The specific allegations contained in the complaint were not detailed in the police report.
Wanted vlogger taken into custody
Police classified Lagrama as an Ordinary Wanted Person prior to his arrest.
The joint police team located and apprehended him in Purok 4, Barangay Lipata, where he resides. The operation involved personnel from the SCCPS and RACU 13, reportedly under the leadership of PCPT Luke N. Arroyo and the supervision of PCOL Lemuel B. Gonda.
Authorities said Lagrama was informed of the reason for his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law in a language he could understand.
Following his arrest, he was brought to the custody of the SCCPS for proper documentation and disposition.
Court sets ₱80,000 bail
The court reportedly set bail at ₱80,000 for Lagrama’s temporary liberty.
As of the latest information provided by authorities, the vlogger was already making arrangements to post bail but was reportedly still ₱6,000 short of the required amount.
His eventual release will depend on the completion and approval of the bail process and the corresponding procedures of the court and police authorities.
The arrest underscores the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies to pursue individuals facing complaints under the country’s cybercrime law, particularly as online platforms and social media have become increasingly central to public communication.
However, Lagrama remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. His arrest and the filing of the cybercrime case do not by themselves constitute a finding of guilt.
Authorities are expected to proceed with the appropriate legal and court processes in connection with Criminal Case No. 2026-0776.
