SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao del Sur — Two men were found lifeless and bloodied by residents in a remote area of Shariff Aguak, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

According to initial police reports, one of the victims was identified only by the alias “Denver,” a resident of Purok 6, Bago Gallera, Talomo District in Davao City. The identity of the second victim remains unknown as of this writing.

Investigators said both bodies bore signs of violence and were already soaked in blood when discovered by local residents, who immediately reported the incident to authorities. Responding personnel from the Philippine National Police secured the area and conducted an initial examination at the scene.

Police are now working to determine how the victims ended up in the area and the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Authorities have not yet ruled out any possible motive, including personal disputes, criminal activity, or other forms of violence.

The bodies were brought to a local facility for proper documentation and forensic examination, while investigators continue to gather statements from witnesses and nearby residents.

The Shariff Aguak Municipal Police Station has urged families who may be missing relatives to coordinate with their office for possible identification. Officials also appealed to the public to cooperate by providing any information that may help solve the case.

An in-depth investigation is ongoing as police seek to identify the perpetrators and establish accountability for the killings.
