The operation, carried out at around 11:30 p.m., resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs and related items, reinforcing authorities’ intensified campaign against illegal narcotics in the city.
Successful Buy-Bust Operation
According to law enforcement officials, operatives launched a buy-bust operation after receiving intelligence reports on the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug distribution.
During the transaction, undercover agents were able to purchase suspected shabu from the suspect, prompting the arrest after the pre-arranged signal was given. The operation was executed smoothly, with no reported injuries or resistance.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Jade,” 36 years old, unemployed, and a resident of Barangay Bula.
Illegal Drugs and Evidence Seized
Seized from the suspect were approximately 17 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱115,600. The confiscated items included the buy-bust sachet and several additional sachets recovered from the suspect’s possession.

All seized items were properly inventoried and documented in the presence of witnesses, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Suspect’s Criminal History
Investigators revealed that alias “Jade” was previously arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, eight years ago. Despite past legal action, authorities said the suspect allegedly returned to illegal drug activities.
The suspect, who is reportedly a member of the LGBTQ+ community, is now facing renewed criminal charges for drug-related offenses.
Police emphasized that the arrest is based on alleged illegal activities and that due process will be strictly observed.
