DUMINGAG, Zamboanga del Sur — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 9 (PDEA RO9) arrested a suspected drug personality during a buy-bust operation on Monday morning, November 25, in Barangay San Pablo.
The anti-drug operation was launched at around 9:55 a.m. by the PDEA RO9 Regional Special Enforcement Team-1, with reinforcement from the PDEA Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office and personnel from the Dumingag Municipal Police Station.
Authorities seized approximately 15 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard value of ₱102,000, along with marked and boodle money, a mailing envelope used in the transaction, and a black Honda Click motorcycle believed to be used by the suspect.
The arrested individual, identified only as alias “James,” 21, is a resident of Barangay Gumamela, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. He is now detained and will face charges for violating Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PDEA RO9 reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations across the region in coordination with local police units.
