GENERAL SANTOS CITY — A man was shot dead in broad daylight after unidentified gunmen ambushed him while he was riding his motorcycle at MC Village, Block 6, Barangay Fatima, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Police identified the victim as Nelson Alipulo Jr., an adult resident of Purok San Roque, Barangay Labangal. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body, leading to his immediate death at the scene.
According to initial police reports, Alipulo was riding his motorcycle when a black Bajaj-type motorcycle carrying two suspects pulled up beside him. Without warning, the back rider — described as wearing a gray T-shirt and pants — opened fire several times using a .45-caliber handgun. The suspects sped away afterward in an unknown direction.
Investigators revealed that moments before the attack, the victim was seen talking to someone in the area. It was at this point that the two assailants reportedly arrived and carried out the shooting.
Fatima Police Station Deputy Chief Police Lt. Roy Molina said a person of interest is now being tracked as authorities continue to gather evidence that could lead to the identification and filing of charges against the perpetrators.
SOCO personnel recovered a pouch from the victim containing what appeared to be suspected shabu and coins. Witnesses also reported that the gunmen allegedly took the victim’s sling bag before fleeing, raising the possibility of narcotics-related motives behind the killing.
Police are now investigating the victim’s activities in the area at the time of the incident and whether these may be connected to illegal drug transactions.
A hot pursuit operation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the identities of the suspects and the motive behind yet another deadly shooting in the city.
