CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) successfully apprehended a former rebel who ranks as the Top 6 Regional Most Wanted Person during a law enforcement operation in Sitio Tag-ibo, Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City, on October 21, 2025.
The suspect, identified only by his aliases Badong/Parekoy/Tigoy/Drugo/Rahim, 32 years old, is a PSR-listed personality and a former Commanding Officer of Platoon BMW, under the Sub-Regional Committee 5 (SRC5) of the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC). He is a resident of Damulog, Bukidnon.
The arrest operation was led by personnel of the 1004th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10), in coordination with Iligan City Police Stations 3 and 6, and the 1st Special Forces Battalion, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) of the Philippine Army.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Murder and Attempted Murder, under Criminal Case Nos. 22-27281 and 22-27279, issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 4, 10th Judicial Region, Iligan City. The warrant for murder carries no bail, while the attempted murder charge has a fixed bail of ₱120,000.
Authorities said the suspect was involved in several armed encounters in Bukidnon, where he was previously active as a member of an insurgent group.
After the arrest, the suspect was brought to Police Station 3, Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City, for documentation and proper disposition. The 1st Special Forces Battalion has also filed a motion for immediate custody before the issuing court.
PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Acting Regional Director of PRO 10, commended the operating units for their coordination and dedication that led to the successful arrest.
