GENERAL SANTOS CITY / KORONADAL CITY – Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) scored major breakthroughs in its campaign against criminality and illegal drugs following the arrest of a Top 10 Most Wanted Person (Regional Level) in General Santos City and the apprehension of two drug suspects in Koronadal City on September 11, 2025.
At around 11:55 a.m., operatives of Police Station 1 and the City Intelligence Unit of General Santos City Police Office, in coordination with Gensan Maritime Police Station, nabbed alias “Butchok,” 25, a driver and resident of Barangay Fatima. The arrest was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, issued by Hon. Dinah Jean San Antonio Cornejo, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 55, General Santos City. No bail was recommended for the case.
The suspect is now under the custody of Police Station 1 for proper disposition and return of the warrant to the court of origin.
On the same day, at around 8:12 p.m., joint elements of Koronadal City Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the 1st SCPMFC of South Cotabato Police Provincial Office launched a buy-bust operation at Barangay GPS, Koronadal City. The operation led to the arrest of alias “Akyat,” 42, a construction worker from Brgy. Sto. Niño, and alias “Toto,” 29, a farmer from Brgy. San Jose.
Confiscated from the suspects were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 8.05 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱54,740.00, along with a ₱500 marked bill used in the operation. Both suspects, along with the seized evidence, are now under the custody of Koronadal CPS for proper documentation and filing of appropriate charges.
PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, commended the operating units for their swift and coordinated actions, underscoring the PNP’s determination to pursue wanted criminals and fight illegal drugs.
“PRO 12 will not relent until every wanted criminal faces accountability. Our communities deserve to live in peace, free from the threats of lawbreakers,” Ardiente said on the General Santos arrest.
On the Koronadal operation, he emphasized: “PRO 12 remains resolute in safeguarding our communities by intensifying anti-drug operations, while also strengthening preventive programs to protect our youth and families from the scourge of illegal drugs.”
These back-to-back operations highlight PRO 12’s continuing drive to deliver justice and ensure safer communities across the region.
