MALIDEGAO, Special Geographic Area (SGA) – BARMM — A man believed to be a member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) under the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) was found dead yesterday afternoon, June 30, 2025, in a secluded road in Sitio Campo, Barangay Gokotan, Malidegao, SGA-BARMM.
The victim was identified through his ID as Maldoy B. Alba, a resident of Barangay Galakit, Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, and reportedly affiliated with the 129th Base Command of the BIAF-MILF under Base Commander Nayang Timan.
Initial investigations revealed that Alba sustained multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body, which are believed to have caused his instant death. Residents suspect he was killed elsewhere before his body was dumped in the remote location.
Barangay officials of Gokotan immediately transported Alba’s remains back to his home village in accordance with Islamic burial customs.
Local authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the motive behind the killing. Residents in the area remain puzzled and concerned, calling for swift justice as the community grapples with the violent death.
No suspects have been named so far, and investigators are appealing to anyone with information to come forward as they continue to gather leads on this developing case.
