MIDSAYAP, COTABATO — A 25-year-old man was wounded after an unidentified gunman opened fire on him in Lower Katinggawan, Midsayap, Cotabato, at around 2 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The victim was identified by the Midsayap Municipal Police Station as Abdul Bayan Toti Gulidtem, a married resident of Patendigen, Midsayap.
Based on the initial police report, the gunman was reportedly riding a black Baja Kawasaki motorcycle when the shooting occurred. The suspect was described as wearing shorts and a black jersey at the time of the attack.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the possible motive and the identity of the gunman, remained unclear as of the initial police report.
Gulidtem was immediately rushed to a hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds and was provided medical attention. Authorities did not immediately release further details regarding the extent of his injuries.
