Mindanao — Residents across the island are advised to remain alert for sudden weather changes as warm and moist easterly winds continue to affect Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported early Friday.
The prevailing easterlies will bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies throughout the region, accompanied by isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening. PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, especially in flood-prone and mountainous areas.
Winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast, resulting in slight to moderate coastal seas with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters, generally safe for sea travel but still requiring caution for small vessels.
