PANABO CITY, Davao del Norte — A delivery rider became the victim of an armed robbery carried out by riding-in-tandem suspects in Panabo City on Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2025, authorities confirmed.
According to the Panabo City Police Station, the incident occurred at around 2:43 p.m. in Purok 12, Barangay San Vicente. The victim, a resident of Barangay Datu Abdul Dadia, was reportedly going about his delivery work when two unidentified men aboard a motorcycle suddenly approached him.
Based on initial police investigation and CCTV footage that later circulated on social media, the suspects forcibly grabbed the victim’s sling bag after threatening him with a firearm. The bag reportedly contained a cellphone and ₱10,000 in cash, believed to be proceeds from deliveries.
After the robbery, the suspects immediately fled the scene in an undetermined direction, leaving the victim unharmed but shaken.
Police authorities said they are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators, including a review of CCTV footage from nearby areas. A hot pursuit operation has also been launched in coordination with other police units to track down and arrest the suspects.
The Panabo City Police urged the public, especially delivery riders and motorists, to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity. They also appealed to individuals who may have witnessed the incident or recognized the suspects in the CCTV footage to coordinate with the nearest police station.
