The suspects, identified only by their aliases “Rabel” and “Jerry,” were apprehended after selling a sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to a PDEA undercover agent posing as a buyer.
Upon their arrest, operatives seized 17 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱382,000, along with the marked money used in the operation.
Authorities confirmed that both suspects are considered high-value targets due to their alleged active involvement in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Davao region.
The two are now detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Law enforcement officials reiterated their commitment to intensify anti-drug operations in Davao City and across the region, warning those still engaged in the illegal drug trade that they will be relentlessly pursued.
