GENERAL SANTOS CITY — In a disturbing twist that shatters public trust, two police officers from the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) are now under investigation for allegedly molesting two women — a teenager and a lesbian — inside a police patrol car, near their own station, around 1:30 a.m.
According to reports, the victims — an 18-year-old and her companion — filed formal complaints after they were allegedly molested by the officers, who have been in service for 12 to 19 years. Instead of protecting citizens, the very individuals sworn to uphold the law now stand accused of violating it in the most disgraceful way.
GSCPO City Director PCol. Nicomedes P. Olaivar Jr. confirmed that the accused officers are under investigation and that cases are being filed against them today, Monday. The victims, despite their trauma, are determined to pursue justice.
This incident has sparked outrage, raising serious questions about internal discipline, accountability, and the culture of impunity within the police force. If proven true, this case represents not just an abuse of power but a betrayal of public trust — an act that stains the badge meant to symbolize integrity and service.
Citizens are calling for the Philippine National Police to ensure a transparent and impartial investigation and to make an example of those who dare to exploit their authority. The public deserves assurance that the police institution will not tolerate predators within its ranks.
In times when law enforcers become lawbreakers, silence is complicity. Justice must not only be served — it must be seen to be served.
