A 59-year-old man was arrested in Davao City after operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Davao City and PDEA-XI, in coordination with the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), carried out a successful buy-bust operation on Friday night, September 19, 2025.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Paul,” was caught in Rosalina Village 1, Puan, Talomo District, at around 10:55 p.m.
During the operation, an undercover PDEA agent was able to purchase suspected shabu worth P5,000 from the suspect. Authorities further recovered nine more sachets containing suspected shabu during the arrest.
In total, the seized illegal drugs have an estimated street value of P374,000.
The suspect is now under PDEA custody and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Investigators are also looking into possible links to larger drug networks operating in the city.
PDEA officials reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations across Davao City, emphasizing the need to curb the illegal drug trade that continues to threaten communities.
