Marawi City, Lanao del Sur — August 15, 2025 — The Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) in Lanao del Sur reinforced its commitment to peacebuilding as it presided over the ceremonial turnover of surrendered firearms under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) at Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak, Marawi City.
Hon. Cader D. Indar, Jr., Provincial Director of MILG–Lanao del Sur, led the ceremony that formally transferred 11 assorted firearms surrendered by former combatants.
PMAJ Philmer M. Supat (QMS), PA, Supply Officer of the 103rd Brigade, Philippine Army, officially handed over the weapons to PLTCOL Jamal Christopher O. Adiong, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO).
The turnover was witnessed by NUP Aquisah M. Casar, Provincial Supply Accountable Officer (PSAO), together with the Provincial Staff of the LDS PPO, further ensuring proper accountability and documentation of the firearms.
The activity underscored the strong collaboration among the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Philippine National Police (PNP), and MILG in promoting the reintegration of former combatants and sustaining peace and security in Lanao del Sur.
Officials emphasized that the E-CLIP program continues to serve as a vital mechanism in encouraging voluntary disarmament, fostering reconciliation, and supporting government efforts to maintain order and stability in the province.
