DAVAO CITY – Authorities arrested a man believed to be selling dried marijuana leaves during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI and Ecoland Police Station 15 around 6:03 PM on June 30, 2025, in Purok 1, Barangay Manuel Guianga, Tugbok District.
The suspect, identified only by his alias “Jose,” is 31 years old and a resident of the said barangay.
According to the PDEA-XI report, the suspect sold one kilogram of suspected dried marijuana leaves worth ₱20,000 to a poseur buyer who was actually a PDEA agent. During the operation, authorities also confiscated four sachets containing more suspected dried marijuana valued at ₱1,500.
In addition to the illegal substances, operatives recovered the marked buy-bust money and seized the motorcycle used by the suspect in the drug transaction.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspect.
