Butuan City, May 5 — The Police Regional Office 13 (PRO-13) formally presented its latest innovation, the A.G.A.P. Caraga mobile application, in a soft launch held today at Camp Col Rafael C. Rodriguez in Butuan City. The event was spearheaded by PRO-13 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano.
A.G.A.P., which stands for Alerto, Giya, Andam, Paglikay, is a user-friendly mobile app developed to enhance police responsiveness and public access to law enforcement services. It supports PBGen Abrahano’s strategic framework of “Prepare, Prevent, and Respond.”
Joining the launch were Atty. Geraldine C. Samson, Assistant Regional Election Director of COMELEC Caraga; Brigadier General Adolfo B. Espuelas Jr., Commander of the 402nd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army; Lieutenant Junior Grade Irah Nicole Radaza, Acting Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao; and members of the media.
With the A.G.A.P. Caraga app, users can easily report crimes, request police assistance, locate the nearest police stations, access contact information, receive directions, and get real-time safety advisories.
“This application is part of our ongoing efforts to improve response time and enhance public safety. We aim to ensure that innovation translates to safer and more empowered communities in the region,” PBGen Abrahano said during the presentation.
He also extended his appreciation to the Regional Information Technology Office 13 and the Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Division for their key role in developing the mobile platform.
The A.G.A.P. Caraga app is expected to significantly strengthen the partnership between law enforcement and the public, encouraging timely reporting and proactive crime prevention throughout the Caraga Region.
