Marawi City — Fifty female police officers from various units across the province gathered on April 21, 2025, at the LDSPPO Multi-purpose Building, Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak, to mark the opening of a five-day seminar aimed at enhancing their skills in handling cases involving minors.

The seminar, spearheaded by the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), focuses on the proper handling of Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL).

The opening ceremony featured the formal presentation of participants led by PMAJ Cezar Boretta, Chief of the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit (PARMU) of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office (LDSPPO). The participants were formally accepted by PLTCOL David Joy B. Duarte, Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Special Training Unit-BAR, who officially declared the seminar open.

PLTCOL Ansary R. Polog, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration, delivered an inspiring message on behalf of PCOL Robert S. Daculan, Provincial Director of LDSPPO, underscoring the importance of professional and compassionate handling of cases involving minors.

Also present to witness the event were PLTCOL Lali I. Abbilani, Chief of the Provincial Intelligence and Detection Management Unit (PIDMU), and PMAJ Elmira A. Relox, Chief of the WCPD.

The LDSPPO remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the capacity of its personnel to uphold the rights and welfare of women and children, ensuring justice is served with empathy and integrity.
