Northern Kabuntalan, Maguindanao del Norte – Authorities arrested a male suspect on April 21, 2025, in Purok 2, Barangay P. Labio, for allegedly violating the nationwide gun ban and committing acts of lasciviousness.
According to the Northern Kabuntalan Municipal Police Station (NK MPS), the arrest stemmed from a report by the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) of Barangay P. Labio. The suspect, who was involved in a local drinking session, was seen with a short firearm tucked into his waistband and allegedly committed lascivious acts during the incident.
Police officers immediately responded to the report, coordinating with BPAT members to apprehend the suspect. Confiscated from him was a Grand Master caliber .45 pistol with serial number 531832, loaded with three live rounds.
The suspect failed to present any legal documentation for the firearm, leading to his arrest. Authorities informed him of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine before transporting him to the NK MPS for booking and legal processing.
