Davao City, Philippines – February 19, 2025 – A series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Davao City resulted in the arrest of high-value individuals (HVIs) and the confiscation of illegal drugs with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 1,172,804.00.

Authorities, led by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit XI (RPDEU XI) in coordination with the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Bajada Police Station (PS18), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), executed a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Wilfredo Aquino, Cabaguio Street. The operation, which took place beside Auto Source Auto Parts and Accessories Trading, led to the arrest of alias “Nash,” identified as the city’s top high-value target, and another drug personality. Law enforcement officers seized four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu valued at PHP 437,920.00, along with other items such as a genuine PHP 1,000 bill with 13 machine copies, two Android mobile phones, and a black VERNACO sling bag.

In another intelligence-driven operation at Purok 25, Malupiha, Malagamot, Brgy. Panacan, Davao City, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Sasa Police Station (PS4), DCPO, along with the Technical Support Company (TSC) of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11 (RMFB 11), apprehended alias “Migo,” the city’s second top high-value target, and another suspect. The operation led to the confiscation of eight sachets containing suspected shabu valued at PHP 201,144.00, a genuine PHP 1,000 bill, and a mint green sling bag. The suspects are now under the custody of Sasa Police Station (PS4) for legal proceedings.

A third intelligence-driven operation at Purok 12, Vista Mar 2, Brgy. Ilang, resulted in the arrest of alias “Bro,” the city’s sixth top HVI, along with another drug personality. Officers confiscated five sachets of suspected shabu valued at PHP 43,588.00, a genuine PHP 500 bill, and a black coin purse. The suspects are currently detained at Sasa Police Station (PS4) pending further legal action.

Additionally, a buy-bust operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Bunawan Police Station (PS6), DCPO, in coordination with PDEA XI at Amparo Village, Brgy. Ilang, led to the arrest of alias “Kap.” Authorities seized seven sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops, estimated at PHP 490,152.00, along with a genuine PHP 500 bill, a PHP 1,000 bill, a cellphone, cash amounting to PHP 150, and a black pack bag.

The successful execution of these operations underscores the unwavering commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to combat illegal drug activities in Davao City. The operations were carried out under the strategic framework of PNP Chief, General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, with the leadership of PRO 11 Regional Director, Brigadier General Leon Victor Z. Rosete. The regional director commended the collaborative efforts of the operating units, including the Davao City Police Office under Acting City Director Colonel Hansel M. Marantan and RPDEU XI led by Major Maynard C. Pascual, in coordination with PDEA.

These enforcement actions highlight the importance of synergy between law enforcement agencies and the public in the ongoing fight against illegal drugs in the Davao Region.
