Maragusan, Davao de Oro – A 52-year-old male suspect was arrested in Maragusan after a successful implementation of a search warrant by the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Maragusan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and other law enforcement agencies.

The search warrant, issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 3 in Nabunturan, was executed at the suspect’s residence, where authorities found evidence leading to his arrest for violations of Republic Act No. 10591, also known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The suspect is currently in police custody as legal proceedings move forward. Law enforcement officials are preparing a case for formal filing in court.

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order in the province. Authorities emphasized that the operation is part of their continuous efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal firearms and ensure community safety. The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to their local police stations.
