The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory for Mindanao, with Easterlies continuing to bring varying weather conditions across the region.
Cloudy Skies and Rains Expected in Some Areas
The provinces of Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the influence of Easterlies. Residents are advised to stay alert for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Partly Cloudy to Cloudy Conditions Elsewhere
The rest of Mindanao, including key cities like Cagayan de Oro, Malaybalay, Davao, Zamboanga, and General Santos, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
City-Specific Forecasts
- Cagayan de Oro City: Temperatures ranging from 23°C to 32°C with slight to moderate coastal waters.
- Davao City: A warm day with highs of 33°C, cooling down to 27°C overnight.
- Zamboanga City: Similar conditions with daytime highs of 32°C and slight to moderate seas.
- Malaybalay City: Cooler conditions with temperatures between 19°C and 31°C.
Other Cities:
- Surigao City: Cloudy with consistent rain showers; temperatures range from 26°C to 29°C.
- Butuan City, Cotabato City, Iligan City, and Tagum City: Partly cloudy skies with highs reaching up to 33°C.
- Dipolog City, Pagadian City, and Marawi City: Likely to experience a mix of sun and rain with moderate winds from the northeast.
