The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released today’s regional weather forecast for Mindanao, highlighting scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms across the region.

Regional Overview:

  • Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKARGEN: Expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by Easterlies.
  • Rest of Mindanao: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also due to Easterlies.

Specific Locations:

  • Laguindingan, Cagayan de Oro City, Malaybalay City: Partly cloudy skies with occasional rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 22°C to 31°C. Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast with slight to moderate seas.
  • Metro Davao: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperature highs could reach 34°C, with light to moderate northeast winds and slight to moderate seas.
  • Zamboanga City: Partly cloudy skies with potential rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 25°C to 34°C. Winds from the east remain light to moderate.
  • Surigao City and Butuan City: Partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Expect temperature highs of up to 34°C in Butuan.
  • Cotabato City, General Santos City, and Tagum City: Cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. High temperatures in Cotabato and General Santos will peak at 34°C.
  • Dipolog City, Marawi City, Iligan City, and Pagadian City: Partly cloudy skies with occasional rainshowers or thunderstorms. Pagadian City will experience the highest temperatures at 35°C.

Residents are advised to prepare for sudden downpours, especially in areas with expected thunderstorms. Coastal waters across the region are generally slight to moderate, posing no significant threat to seafarers.
