Jolo, Sulu – Aljibar “Jibang” Abdulla, the primary suspect in the abduction, rape, and murder of a young student from Don Jose Godinez Elementary School in Patikul District, has surrendered to authorities.
Abdulla voluntarily turned himself in early this morning at the residence of former councilor Nidz Sakandal and Barangay Chairperson Elmor Sakandal of Walled City, Jolo.
He was immediately handed over to the Jolo Municipal Police Station, led by PLTC Annidul Sali, for proper legal processing.
The suspect’s surrender comes amid widespread calls for justice following the heinous crime that shocked the community of Patikul. Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations and file appropriate charges against Abdulla.
The local government has assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice for the victim and her family. Community leaders have also expressed their solidarity, urging residents to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
