COTABATO CITY — A man was killed in a shooting incident along Jojo Guiani Street, Mother Barangay Poblacion, Cotabato City, at around 6:48 PM today.
The victim, identified as Guiapar Mamaki Abu, a resident of Purok Niyogan, Barangay Katuli, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, was declared dead on arrival at the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC).
According to a report by Cotabato City Police Station 1, led by Police Captain Rustan Deaño, the victim was driving his motorcycle when unidentified suspects approached him and opened fire.
Initial investigations by the police revealed that the suspected gunman was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and a red and brown facemask. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
