Mindanao State University (MSU) has achieved a notable placement in the recently released 2025 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings for Asia, securing a spot in the 801+ range. The QS Asia rankings are an esteemed measure of university excellence, evaluating institutions based on academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, and citations per paper, among other factors. MSU’s inclusion underscores its dedication to high academic standards and impactful research within the region.
The MSU System, comprising 11 constituent universities and colleges, was represented in this ranking by ten of its campuses. Notably, MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) was assessed separately, earning its own ranking in a higher tier. The ranking for MSU thus includes MSU Main Marawi, MSU Tawi-Tawi College of Technology and Oceanography, MSU General Santos, MSU Naawan, MSU Maguindanao, MSU Sulu, MSU Buug, MSU Lanao College of Arts and Trades, MSU Maigo School of Arts and Trades, and MSU Lanao Agricultural College.
