140 Young Cotabateños Officially Graduate from Government Internship Program (GIP)

Kidapawan City, Cotabato – After six months of dedicated service, 140 young Cotabateños have officially graduated from the Government Internship Program (GIP) in a formal ceremony held on November 6, 2024. The GIP is a key initiative of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s administration, jointly supported by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and local government leaders in Cotabato.

These young beneficiaries contributed their time, skills, and efforts to various government agencies, helping deliver public services across the province of Cotabato. A total of P7.7 million was allocated by the national government to fund the program, which provided the participants with fair wages while they gained valuable experience in public service.

The culmination event was held at the Provincial Gymnasium in Amas, Kidapawan City, and was attended by Senior LEO Mansour Jesu Kairos Orofrecio, LEO III Zara Louise Mahinay, Acting Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Dr. Reinalyn Nicolas, and Provincial PESO Manager Yvette Dominique Lee.

This program is part of the administration’s continued effort to equip the youth with skills, practical experience, and an understanding of government functions, contributing to the development of a more capable and empowered generation of Filipinos.
