The newly operational Rice Processing Center, managed by the city government, allows local farmers to process their rice without having to seek outside facilities. This facility supports the city’s Luntian Rice Program, which sells consolidated rice at affordable prices ranging from 20 to 25 pesos per kilo. This initiative aims to empower local farmers by implementing a palay buyback program, ensuring that they receive fair prices for their produce.

In addition to the Rice Processing Center, the city also showcased its new agricultural drone, which can cover up to 19 hectares per hour. This drone is equipped to spray fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs, significantly reducing operational costs for local farmers. The drone services will be provided free of charge, prioritizing farmers in the most need.

During the launch, local officials expressed their gratitude to taxpayers for making these advancements possible. “Thank you to all the taxpayers; without your support, none of this would have been achievable. Long live agriculture in Kidapawan, and long live our farmers!” said a city representative.

With these new resources, Kidapawan City aims to enhance agricultural efficiency, support its farmers, and ensure food security in the region. The initiatives reflect a commitment to fostering a sustainable agricultural environment that benefits the entire community.
