VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Two alleged street-level drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations that resulted in the seizure of a combined 16.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at P112,880, authorities reported on October 3, 2026.

The first operation was conducted at about 4:09 p.m. in Purok 1, Barangay Poblacion, where police arrested alias “Bajai,” a 32-year-old businessman and resident of Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City.

Authorities reported recovering five sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 6.3 grams, with an estimated street drug price (SDP) of P42,840.

The second operation was carried out at about 9:05 p.m. in Purok 9, Dabong-dabong, Barangay Mailag, resulting in the arrest of alias “Ailyn,” 45, a resident of Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

Police said the operation led to the recovery of six sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 10.3 grams, with an estimated SDP of P70,040.

Combined, the two operations yielded 11 sachets containing an estimated 16.6 grams of suspected shabu, with a total reported street drug price of P112,880.

The operations were conducted by the Valencia City Police Station, with support from the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT) under the Office of the City Mayor and in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office.

The two suspects were placed under the custody of the Valencia City Police Station for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges.

Authorities said the suspects are being prepared for possible prosecution for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly provisions covering the illegal sale and distribution of dangerous drugs.

The reported arrests form part of continuing law-enforcement efforts against the illegal drug trade in Valencia City. Local authorities said coordination between the city government and law-enforcement agencies is being maintained to support anti-drug operations and other peace-and-order initiatives.

The City Government of Valencia has continued to support anti-illegal drug operations under the administration of Mayor Amie G. Galario, with the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez.

The cases remain subject to the regular legal process. The identities of the suspects have been withheld except for their aliases pending the filing and resolution of the appropriate charges.
