Cagayan de Oro City — Police authorities arrested a high-value drug suspect and seized illegal drugs worth more than ₱374,000 during the implementation of a search warrant in Iligan City on Tuesday morning, January 28, 2026.

Personnel of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU-10) Team Iligan, backed by multiple police and mobile force units, carried out the operation at around 8:49 a.m. in Purok 6, Barangay Saray, Iligan City.

Arrested was alias “Doki,” 22, self-employed, and a resident of the area. Police said the suspect, who is reportedly living with a partner, was arrested during the lawful search of his residence. Authorities noted that this is allegedly his first offense and that the illegal drugs he was selling reportedly originated from Marawi City.

The operation stemmed from Search Warrant No. 25-0235 issued on January 21, 2026, by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 4, 12th Judicial Region, Iligan City.

During the search, operatives confiscated seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 55 grams, with an estimated standard drug price of ₱374,000, along with assorted drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was taken to Police Station 5 of the Iligan City Police Office for proper disposition, while the seized drug evidence was forwarded to the Iligan City Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Police said charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspect.

PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10, commended the operating units for the successful operation and reiterated the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to intensifying the fight against illegal drugs to protect communities from the menace of narcotics.
