Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao del Sur – A farmer was killed in a shooting incident in Kaya-kaya, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao del Sur, on January 28 at around 3:00 PM.
The victim was identified as Nasser Andal Mohamad, a 51-year-old farmer from Purok 3 Linik, Barangay Kaya-kaya, according to Datu Abdullah Sangki town police chief Lt. Col. Glenn Mar Avisa.
Reports indicate that Mohamad was driving a farm equipment along a barangay road when unidentified gunmen ambushed him. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds, leading to his immediate death.
Authorities recovered four empty shells of an unidentified firearm from the crime scene. Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the killing and to identify the suspects responsible for the attack.
This incident occurred despite the ongoing election gun ban, highlighting the continued prevalence of such attacks in the region.
