BUKIDNON — Two newly identified drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by police units in Kalilangan and Valencia City, leading to the seizure of more than ₱151,000 worth of suspected shabu in less than 24 hours.

In Kalilangan, a motorela driver identified as alias “Landy,” 45, married and a resident of Barangay Central Poblacion, was arrested around 12:42 a.m. on January 23, 2026, during a buy-bust operation at Purok 6.

The operation was led by the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station under PCPT Teresita L. Manejero, in coordination with the Bukidnon 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company and the 1004th Company of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Battalion, RMFB-10, with support from the Provincial Intelligence Unit and under the supervision of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 10.

Recovered from the suspect were one heat-sealed sachet containing 0.25 gram of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item and six more sachets weighing 11.75 grams as possession items. Police also confiscated ₱500 marked money, two ₱200 bills, a sling bag, coin pouch, wallet, lighter, empty cigarette pack, scissors, and a pocket notebook.

Authorities said the total 12 grams of seized illegal drugs had an estimated standard drug price of ₱81,600.

Meanwhile, in Valencia City, a laborer identified as alias “Junrey,” 34, married and a resident of Barangay Tugaya, was arrested at around 10:05 p.m. on January 22, 2026, during a buy-bust operation in Purok 4.

The operation was spearheaded by the Valencia City Police Station under PLT Christopher R. Ibañez, with assistance from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-10, 1003rd Maneuver Company, 2nd Bukidnon PMFC, and the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team, in coordination with the Bukidnon PIU and PDEA-10.

Police seized several sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 10.3 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱70,040, along with ₱500 buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, and an Infinix Android cellphone.

Both suspects are now in police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as authorities continue to intensify anti-illegal drug operations across the province.
