Camp Gallego, Tubod, Lanao del Norte — In line with the intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign, the Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office (LDN PPO), under the leadership of Acting Provincial Director PCOL Leo De Leon Sua, successfully carried out three separate buy-bust operations that led to the arrest of three drug suspects and the confiscation of a total of over 13 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of more than ₱93,000.
The operations were conducted by the different municipal police stations in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 10 and other supporting units under the supervision of Camp Gallego, Tubod.
The first operation took place at around 7:40 PM on November 7, 2025, in Purok 3, Barangay Abaga, Lala, where a composite team from Lala Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), 1005th Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB-10), 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies (PMFC), and PDEA Region 10 conducted a buy-bust under Pre-Operation No. 11-00-11072025-034.
Authorities arrested alias “Lando” (SLI), 34, a resident of Barangay Abaga, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police operative posing as a buyer. Confiscated from his possession were 12 small sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 1.5 grams worth ₱10,200, along with drug paraphernalia and the ₱500 marked money.
A few hours later, at around 9:10 PM on the same day, operatives from Kapatagan Municipal Police Station (KMPS), 1005th RMFB-10, and PDEA Region 10 launched another successful buy-bust in Purok 16, Poblacion, Kapatagan, resulting in the arrest of alias “Jojo”, 32, of Barangay Poblacion.
Recovered from the suspect were 10.2 grams of suspected shabu with an SDP value of ₱69,360, the ₱1,000 marked money, and ₱150 cash. The operation was conducted in the presence of barangay officials and a media representative, in full compliance with the requirements of the law.
The third operation was carried out at around 9:50 PM on November 8, 2025, in Purok 2, Barangay Libertad, Kolambugan, where joint elements of the Kolambugan MPS and PDEU-LDN PPO, with the assistance of PDEA Region 10, apprehended alias “Tatang”, 52.
Police seized from the suspect 2.08 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱14,144, together with ₱700 cash, including a ₱500 marked bill. The operation was properly documented and witnessed by a Sangguniang Bayan member and a media representative.
All seized items were turned over to the Lanao del Norte Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for laboratory examination, while the suspects are now under police custody for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
PCOL Leo De Leon Sua lauded the operating personnel from the participating police stations for their dedication and professionalism in executing the operations.
“These successful operations reflect our unwavering commitment to rid our communities of illegal drugs and bring offenders to justice. We continue to call on the public to support the PNP by providing timely and accurate information that can aid in our campaign,”
PCOL Sua said.
He reaffirmed that the Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office remains steadfast in its anti-drug operations and coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to ensure a safer and drug-free province.
