CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully confiscated approximately PhP3 million worth of shabu and arrested four suspects in three separate buy-bust operations conducted in Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Iligan City from November 10 to 11, 2025.



On November 10, Valencia City Police, in coordination with other units, apprehended a married couple, identified as “Kai,” 35, and “Ani,” 46, residents of Brgy. Muslim Village, Wao, Lanao del Sur, along Sayre Highway, Brgy. Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon. Authorities recovered five sachets and one knot-tied plastic wrapper containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing around 301.2 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP2,048,160. Three PhP1,000 bills used as buy-bust money were also seized.
The following day, at around 1:04 a.m., Misamis Oriental Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit personnel, along with other units, conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Igpit, Opol. The operation led to the arrest of two suspects, alias “Poloy,” 24, a high-value individual listed at both regional and PNP-PDEA levels, and alias “Adri,” 22. Authorities seized six sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 40 grams, with an estimated SDP of PhP272,000.
Later the same day, at around 3:00 p.m., Iligan City Police’s City Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with Police Station 5, apprehended alias “Alamin,” 33, a target-listed drug personality, during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Pala-o, Iligan City. Police confiscated one large knot-tied plastic cellophane and three small heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 100 grams, with an estimated SDP of PhP680,000.
All suspects and the seized drugs were brought to their respective police stations for documentation and legal proceedings. Cases are being prepared under Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The seized substances have been submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit 10 for qualitative and quantitative examination.
Acting PRO10 Regional Director PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano lauded the efforts of the operating units. “Every gram of shabu seized is a life saved and a community protected. We will sustain this momentum under the ‘Prepare, Prevent, and Respond’ framework, ensuring that lawbreakers have no place to hide in Northern Mindanao,” he said.
He also called on the public to support the government’s anti-drug campaign by reporting suspicious activities via 911 or the nearest police station.
