VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Police arrested 25 individuals during a coordinated operation against illegal cockfighting and online sabong in Purok 2, Barangay Batangan, at around 5:30 p.m. on November 28, 2025.

The operation was led by the Valencia City Police Station (VCPS) under the supervision of PLTCOL Bryan M. Panganiban, with support from the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (BUK PIU) and the Regional Special Operations Unit-10 (RSOU-10). Authorities said the joint effort was part of ongoing enforcement actions aligned with Executive Order No. 9, which prohibits illegal gambling activities.

Local officials also backed the anti-illegal gambling drive, with Mayor Amie Galario and the 10th Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez reaffirming their commitment to curb activities that threaten public safety and community peace.

Police confirmed that all 25 suspects are now under the custody of the Valencia CPS for further investigation, documentation, and the filing of appropriate charges.

According to authorities, the operation forms part of broader efforts by PNP Bukidnon to maintain peace and order by dismantling illegal gambling networks that contribute to criminal activity and social issues.

Law enforcement and local government units vowed to sustain intensified operations to protect communities from illicit activities and reinforce the rule of law across the city.
