KALILANGAN, Bukidnon — Authorities arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized over ₱1.1 million worth of suspected shabu during a joint buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Central Poblacion, Kalilangan, Bukidnon, on November 4, 2025.

Personnel of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, the 1004th Regional Mobile Force Battalion, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), carried out the successful sting that led to the arrest of two repeat offenders known by their aliases “Jali,” 24, and “Alex,” 20 — both residents of Barangay Cabaywa, Asuncion, Tagum City.

Police said the two suspects, both unemployed, had previously been arrested multiple times for drug-related offenses. “Jali” had been apprehended three times in the past, while “Alex” had been arrested twice. After their recent release from jail, the two allegedly returned to the illegal drug trade as their main source of income.

Seized during the operation were two heat-sealed sachets and one knot-tied plastic cellophane containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 163.5 grams, with a Standard Drug Price value of ₱1,111,800. Authorities also recovered a motorcycle, a mobile phone, and a ₱1,000 bill used as marked money.

The suspects are now under the custody of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. They will face charges for violating Sections 5 (sale) and 11 (possession) of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated drugs have been turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), commended the operatives for the successful anti-drug operation.

“The success of this operation demonstrates the continued effectiveness of our strategy to eliminate the drug menace in Northern Mindanao,” Abrahano said. “The collaboration between our law enforcement agencies and the community is vital to our ongoing pursuit of a safer, drug-free region.”
