KITAOTAO, BUKIDNON — A joint police and anti-drug operation led by the Kitaotao Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old woman and the confiscation of over ₱346,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs during the implementation of a search and seizure warrant on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Police Captain Charlon H. Sevilla, Officer-in-Charge of the Kitaotao MPS, spearheaded the operation together with PMSg Patrik Dave V. Baring, PSSg Lorymer G. Cutar Jr., PCpl Rey John R. Suralta, Pat Jerico M. Arnan, and Pat Glorife P. Tequillo, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 10.

The team implemented Search and Seizure Warrant No. RTC-OCC 71-25 for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The warrant was issued by Hon. Eldred Dongallo Cole, Executive and Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 45, Malaybalay City.

The operation, conducted at Purok 3, Barangay Tawas, Kitaotao, led to the arrest of the female suspect, identified as a high-value individual (HVI), a married laborer, and a resident of the same barangay.

Authorities recovered an estimated 50 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of ₱340,000, and another 50 grams of suspected marijuana valued at ₱6,000, for a total estimated value of ₱346,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The suspect is now in police custody and will face charges for violation of R.A. 9165.

Police officials reiterated their commitment to intensify anti-drug efforts in Bukidnon, emphasizing that such operations are part of the ongoing campaign to dismantle drug networks and ensure a safer community.
