Valencia City, Bukidnon — A high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in a joint anti-drug operation that yielded more than ₱412,000 worth of shabu in Valencia City on Monday night, September 15.

The Valencia City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Bryan Mesa Panganiban, Chief of Police, led the buy-bust operation in coordination with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU 10), Bukidnon PDEA 10, Bukidnon 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT) under the Office of the City Mayor. The operation was also coordinated with the Bukidnon Police Intelligence Unit (PIU).

Authorities identified the suspect as alias Jeff, 32, a farmer from Sitio Mabuhay, Barangay San Jose, Malaybalay City. He was arrested around 10:42 p.m. at Purok 11, Barangay Poblacion, Valencia City.

Confiscated from the suspect were illegal drugs with a total standard drug price of ₱412,080.00. Police said the recovered evidence will be turned over to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.

The suspect is now detained at the Valencia City Police Station while a case for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared against him.

Police officials lauded the coordinated effort of law enforcement units and vowed to sustain their intensified campaign against illegal drugs in Bukidnon.
