TACURONG CITY, Sultan Kudarat – Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) reported the arrest of two suspected drug offenders in separate law enforcement operations on August 12, 2025, underscoring its intensified campaign against illegal drugs and wanted persons.

At around 12:05 a.m., operatives from the Tacurong City Police Station (CPS) and Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) apprehended the region’s Top 9 Most Wanted Person, identified as alias “Allan,” 43, married, jobless, and a resident of Purok Daisy, Barangay New Isabela, Tacurong City.

The arrest was made by virtue of warrants issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 20 Judge Jose Emmanuel D. Jabido for violations of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), each carrying a recommended bail of ₱200,000.

Later that day, Tacurong CPS and SKPPO personnel, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 12, conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Cayambahan, Barangay Griño, leading to the arrest of alias “Sarah,” 31, married, and a resident of Barangay Barurao, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur.

Confiscated from Sarah were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 25.86 grams, valued at ₱175,848 based on the National Standard Drug Price, along with ₱1,000 in marked buy-bust money.

Both suspects are now under police custody, with seized evidence turned over for proper documentation and disposition.

PRO 12 Regional Director PBGen Romeo Juan Macapaz lauded the operating units for their dedication in tracking down fugitives and drug personalities.

“These arrests send a clear message that PRO 12 will not stop until all fugitives are brought to justice and illegal drug networks are dismantled. Our relentless pursuit of law offenders reflects our dedication to ensuring peace and safety in the communities we serve,” Macapaz said.
