CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A 52-year-old businessman tagged as a high-value target in the illegal drug trade was arrested in a joint buy-bust operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 10, together with personnel of Police Station 6 in Puerto.
Authorities identified the suspect only by his alias “Daryll,” a resident of C. Dejos Street, Reyes Village Subdivision in Barangay Bugo.
Based on the report, the suspect sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱500 to an undercover agent, leading to his arrest. Confiscated from his possession were an estimated 100 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of around ₱680,000, along with a small amount of marijuana valued at ₱120.
The suspect is currently detained at the PDEA-10 detention facility as further investigation and follow-up operations are underway.
