GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Authorities arrested a suspected drug personality and confiscated over ₱159,000 worth of illegal drugs during a joint law enforcement operation on July 15, 2025, in General Santos City.
The successful anti-drug operation was part of the nationwide Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) initiated by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12). It was conducted by elements of Police Station 7 (PS7), City Intelligence Unit (CIU), SWAT/City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), and the 1201st Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), all under the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO).
Authorities served a valid search warrant for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which led to the arrest of a 22-year-old suspect identified only by the alias “Jamil.” He is a resident of General Santos City.
Police also identified another person of interest, the suspect’s father, alias “Jack,” 42, who managed to escape during the operation. A follow-up manhunt is now underway to apprehend him.
Seized from the residence were five sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 23.5 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱159,800 based on the National Standard Drug Price.
The arrested suspect and all confiscated evidence were brought to Police Station 7 for documentation and proper legal processing.
PRO 12 reiterated its commitment to intensify anti-drug operations and urged the public to support the campaign by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.
