Surallah, South Cotabato – July 16, 2025 — In a continuing effort to curb illegal drug activities in the region, joint operatives of the Surallah Municipal Police Station, South Cotabato Police Provincial Office, and the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 12 arrested a suspected drug peddler during a court-authorized search operation in Surallah town.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Ran-Ran,” 35 years old and a resident of Surallah, was apprehended after authorities served a search warrant at his residence. The operation led to the confiscation of two sachets of suspected shabu weighing 8.8 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱59,840 based on the National Standard Drug Price. An improvised totter containing suspected shabu residue was also seized from the scene.
Following the arrest, the suspect and the recovered evidence were brought to the Surallah Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Police Regional Office 12 Regional Director PBGen Arnold P. Ardiente lauded the successful operation, saying, “This successful operation underscores our relentless campaign against illegal drugs and our strong resolve to rid communities in SOCCSKSARGEN of this menace.”
Authorities continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities in their communities as part of the Philippine National Police’s sustained anti-drug drive.
