GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A man was shot dead by an unidentified suspect in broad daylight on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at around 12:20 p.m. in Purok 8, Balaba Compound, Barangay Conel.
The victim was identified as Alan Abadenas, also known as “Gonggong,” a resident of the said area.
According to the General Santos City Police Office, they received a report about a shooting incident in the area and immediately responded to the scene.
Initial investigations revealed that Abadenas had a previous record and was previously imprisoned for cases related to illegal drugs and theft. Authorities are still conducting a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the attack and to identify the suspect.
The police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in resolving the case.
