October 24, 2024 | Davao City – The Davao City Police Office (DCPO), under the command of Acting City Director PCOL Hansel M. Marantan, reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the city through sincere and dedicated service. The DCPO continues its relentless efforts to combat illegal drug activities, striving to bring those involved to justice for the protection of the community.
In the past 24 hours, with robust support from an active community providing crucial information, the DCPO successfully conducted five anti-illegal drug operations across various police stations, resulting in the apprehension of five drug personalities and the confiscation of shabu valued at approximately ₱122,899.60 at standard drug price (SDP).
The details of the operations are as follows:
- Police Station 1 (Sta. Ana): Seized shabu worth ₱11,819.60.
- Police Station 2 (San Pedro): Confiscated shabu valued at ₱15,096.00.
- Police Station 4 (Sasa): Took possession of shabu estimated at ₱1,224.00.
- Police Station 6 (Bunawan): Seized shabu with an estimated value of ₱90,000.00.
- Police Station 10 (Calinan): Confiscated shabu worth ₱4,760.00.
The DCPO expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from barangay officials, the local government unit, and the community in its ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. Recognizing the significant role illegal drugs play in contributing to crime in various areas, the DCPO remains steadfast in its operations to create a safer environment for all Dabawenyos.
