October 24, 2024 | Nabunturan, Davao de Oro – A drug den in Purok 3, Barangay Anislagan was dismantled during a successful buy-bust operation on the evening of October 23, 2024. The operation was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI-Davao de Oro, in collaboration with the Nabunturan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and other local police units.
Authorities arrested multiple individuals linked to illegal drug activities during the operation. They seized 21 grams of suspected shabu, valued at approximately ₱142,800 based on the standard drug price.
The confiscated drugs and additional evidence collected at the scene were transported to the PDEA XI for proper disposition. Charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are currently being prepared against those apprehended.
This operation is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat the illegal drug trade and ensure community safety in the region. Authorities are urging the public to report any suspicious activities related to drugs to help maintain peace and security in their neighborhoods.
