Joint operating units from PIU, PDEU, and 2nd PMFC, MDS PPO, proceeded to Datu Piang MPS with an intel report regarding the transportation of illegal drugs coming from the interior barangay of Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur on September 3, 2024.
Datu Piang MPS together with the aforementioned units, immediately conducted a joint checkpoint operation at the said place. During the operation, one (1) Payong-Payong motorcycle heading in the direction of the established checkpoint tried to avoid and attempted to evade the operating personnel, prompting the team to chase the motorcycle and eventually arrest the suspect.
Seized from his possession and control is a one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with estimated weight of MOL 50 grams and market value of MOL PHP 340,000.00 marked as ADB with date 09/03/24 and signature.
The arrested suspect and confiscated illegal drugs are now under the custody of Datu Piang MPS for proper documentation and disposition.
