PDEA-PNP Yields ₱3.4 Million Worth of Shabu in Lanao del Sur Drug Bust; High-Value Target Arrested

Cotabato City—In a significant operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET), in collaboration with the 4th Special Action Battalion 41 Special Action Company PNP Special Action Force, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Battalion, and Malabang Municipal Police Station, successfully seized ₱3.4 million worth of shabu and apprehended a high-value target in Barangay Bacayawan, Malabang, Lanao del Sur on August 21, 2024.

The operation led to the confiscation of a zip lock plastic sachet containing approximately 500 grams of shabu, with a standard drug price of ₱3,400,000.00. Additionally, buy-bust money and two identification cards belonging to the suspect were recovered.

The suspect, identified as Amenola T. Sabdullah, also known as Amenola, is a 40-year-old male resident of Barangay Tuboc, Malabang, Lanao del Sur. He is currently under the custody of the PDEA BARMM Jail Facility, awaiting inquest proceedings for violations of RA 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

This successful operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug activities in the region and bring high-value targets to justice.
